First Steps provides access to mental health and wellbeing support tailored to the many business owners across Tāmaki Makaurau that are feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and under pressure from the mental and emotional impact of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. Vitality Unlimited is a Registered Service Provide offers the following fully funded support packages through the First Steps programme:




Redefining Stress and Managing Uncertainty  (with optional Sky Tower jump!)

9 week programme.       In conjunction with AJ Hackett & Wellbeing Workshop, this 90 minute workshop at the Sky Tower will help you understand how your mind and body respond to stress and learn effective science-based strategies for better managing stress, building improved health, resilience and wellbeing.


This science-based programme is designed to boost long term mental and physical wellbeing by building up resources that are proven to promote positive change; stress management, sleep, happiness, mindfulness and personal effectiveness.


Practical and engaging, this package will help participants embed simple principles that if practiced regularly will build resilience and help business owners to better navigate tough times.


Includes 6 follow up online group webinars to learn more about effective wellbeing strategies to help you thrive:  Stress Management, Resilience, The Power of Play, Magic of Mindfulness, Personal Effectiveness and developing a StressLess Action and Implementation Plan, for ongoing positive mental health & wellbeing

Resilience Coaching – 1 on 1 sessions

Do you want to cope better with adversity, and face the challenges that life throws you with greater confidence and skills?


Resilience Coaching is a highly effective way to build your resilience strengths and reduce your resilience risks.


The first step is to complete an online 60-factor Resilience Diagnostic Assessment to measure your resilience – this takes around 10-15 minutes.


Our first coaching session is an hour long and held on Zoom. We discuss your diagnostic assessment and start putting together an action plan for building your resilience strengths and reducing your resilience risks. Our fortnightly follow up sessions continue to build on this action plan – we check in on your progress, discuss what is working, what tools and strategies are effective for achieving your goals, and update your action plan.


After three months, we run the diagnostic assessment again so we can measure your gains in resilience.

Resilience Training


Give your team the language and tools to help them deal with stress and disruption.


In this workshop, your team will learn the principles of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. And then get hands-on with your own deck of Doing Well cards to create your own personal Wellbeing and Resilience Action Plan. These cards were created by Hummingly on the back of decades of global experience working in disaster and disruption.
